This team is all about collaborative teamwork and are of the mindset that you can never stop learning. They are passionate about Cyber Security and continue to support each other in building their skillsets within a field that is constantly changing. Each student brings a unique skillset, which the team has identified and has been able to utilize in order to grow stronger as a team. As a group, they are constantly communicating inside and outside of the classroom, gathering resources, building training simulations, and discussing ideas. The students are driven to test their skills in local, national, and international competitions.
The Academy has laid the foundation for Cyber Security education in Canada through its historic achievement in the CyberPatriot International Competition, being the first Canadian team to not only participate in the CyberPatriot National Finals but also to rank highest amongst teams internationally. Sisler Cyber Academy has been instrumental in developing the CyberTitan program in Canada. The Academy’s vision was to enable all students in Canada to achieve similar success within the field of Information Technology and was instrumental in establishing the Memorandum of Understanding between CyberPatriot and ICTC. Our students are proud of their program’s historic contributions in leading Canada in the field of Cyber Security education and hope to continue in its successes.
School involvement in the online rounds of CyberPatriot is essential to increasing student interest and participation in Cyber Security. CyberTitan has been instrumental in motivating students to represent their high school in one of Canada’s largest Cyber Security competitions.

Why did you join the team?
I joined this team because I found CyberPatriot to be a very interesting and fun activity to do during my time in high school. I’ve always found an interest in computers and how to secure them, so when I found out there was a competition revolved around Cyber Security I immediately had interest in the program.
What career would you like to pursue in the future?
In the future I would like to pursue a career in either Server Administration or Network Administration. And if I end up enjoying how programming goes during my time in college, I might choose a career in programming.
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
My favourite thing to do in my free time is play video games with my friends or watch videos.
What is your Favorite food or snack?
My favourite food is poutine.

Why did you join the team?
I joined this team because I thought it would be a fun and challenging experience that would help me grow as an individual. It also involved working with computers, which is something that I enjoy doing.
What career would you like to pursue in the future?
I would like to pursue a career in programming or in any other branch in IT.
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
My favourite thing to do in my free time is to work with computers, play video games, and occasionally play sports.

My favourite food or snack is Reese’s peanut butter cups.

Why did you join the team?
I joined the team because I’ve always liked computers and I was interested in what I could learn from doing the competition and how it could help me have more experience with cyber security.
What career would you like to pursue in the future?
I would hope to pursue a career that involves computer science or computer engineering.

My favourite thing to do in my free time is play video games.

Why did you join the team?
Computers always fascinated me, so when we found out about CyberPatriot, I was really interested in exploring it further. Overall, I wanted to experience the obstacles of this competition with my friends.
What career would you like to pursue in the future?
A career along the roads of programming is what I hope to pursue in the future.
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
Innovation is something I enjoy doing a lot in my free time: messing around with instruments, constructing things in games, and overall making new things.
What is your Favorite food or snack?
My favourite food would be about any type of BBQ. Practically anything that’s been grilled. For snacks, I enjoy smoothies and fruits.

To find out where there are security flaws in a computer, to deepen my understanding of computers, and because I find competing fun.

Why did you join the team?
I joined the team because Mr. Bazilewich (our other coach at Sisler HS) asked me to.
What career would you like to pursue in the future?
I’ve always dreamed of having a show like Penelope Garcia from the show Criminal Minds. She’s half the reason why I decided to go into my school’s networking and cybersecurity program in the first place. If not in tech, I’d love to pursue something in criminology/criminal justice.
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
I love to watch and pick apart movies, read (comic) books, and hang out with friends (or watch comic book movies with friends).
What is your Favorite food or snack?
I LOVE Dad’s cookies, and tortilla chips and hummus.
